Scoutballers is a football marketplace that connects players, video creators, and recruiters to hasten the process of club and college recruitment. The platform will help professional clubs and college coaches to save costs by assessing the talents needed for their clubs or college programs online and from the comfort of their desks or homes.
The product is designed to look into three issues that involve solving problems, creating opportunities, and making dreams a reality.
By giving professional clubs, college coaches, scouts, and agents access to game videos of available players in their immediate environment without leaving their desks.
By creating job opportunities for skilled video freelancers to offer their services to players looking to make recruiting videos.
By providing opportunities though the platform for footballers worldwide to connect with clubs and coaches to take their careers to the next level.
First, I decided to focus on direct and indirect competitors and products with the same or almost the same features as Scoutballers.
I found out that these two major contenders in the market are lagging in their market strategy by not having features that work for Africa/Asia, which is a big market and also no provision for video creators on the platform to help those players who cannot make theirs.
What I did:
At the discovery phase of my project, I conducted user interviews and surveys with potential users, this is to get a better understanding of the problem my users were facing and how the problems can be solved.
